There are two main steps:
Sign up for a volunteer training. Below, you can sign up for our require 1-hour training with Dr. Sarah Scherwinski, Occupational Therapist at Journey21. The training outlines roles, expectations and general information about working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
Complete all required paperwork. Click to download the volunteer packet. Please bring the completed documents to the training.
Pass a caregiver background check (Journey21 to complete). Note, this requirement is for the safety of individuals we serve. All staff and volunteers must pass a caregiver background check.
