Our residential, enrichment, and social options are informed by the very adults we serve. Our goal is to create an environment that exudes the very definition of community -- a feeling of fellowship with others who share common interests and goals. These young adults are reaching an important time in their lives when they will begin to step away from their parents and develop their unique independent selves. They will be the messengers of our mission and integral to shaping the heart and soul of our community. Our Resident Advisory Council will begin with these Ambassadors.

I am so excited to be a student in the Journey21 Life Academy class of 2025 and enjoy attending classes everyday with my friends at the Enrichment Center and at Waukesha County Technical College.  Learning new skills and having internships at different places in the community is giving me opportunities to discover what I like to do and to find meaningful employment when I graduate.  And I’m even learning independent living skills so I can one day live in an apartment of my own!   I am making lots of new friends at Journey21 and also enjoy attending programs and outings like sporting events, cooking classes, game nights and parties.  In the summer, I plan to work at Naga-Waukee Golf Course, Wisconsin Athletic Club and Inclusion Coffee, and play LOTS of golf.

I graduated from Arrowhead High School in 2020.  I am a social, thoughtful, hard working young man. I currently work at HomeGoods and DiTEC Marine Supply.  My managers say that I have a great positive attitude and I bring joy to the workplace everyday.  I love spending time with friends and being active with sports.  I have been a Special Olympics Athlete since 2014 and compete in Volleyball, Track, and Basketball.  I’ve also been an active member of Best Buddies and really look forward to spending time with my Buddy at the events or just hanging out.  My other hobbies include:  fishing, golfing, and music.  I am excited to live in a community that offers support when needed and the opportunities to build friendships and share interests with the people that live around me.

I am senior in the transitions program at Arrowhead High School.  I am most happy when I am spending time with my friends and talking with people. People tell me that I have a smile that lights up a room.  I have been a Special Olympics Athlete since 2016 and compete in volleyball, track, and basketball.  My real passion is music and playing the drums, guitar, and singing with my karaoke machine.  I also love going to see bands play; especially, the UW-Wisconsin Badger Band. I also love to cook and have worked for the last 4 years working at Cafe’ Arrowhead and The Arrowhead Coffee Shop. I hope to continue my culinary and music education after High School.  I am excited about having my own home and having a community where I can make friends.
