December 14, 2023 - Life Academy Completes First Semester at WCTC

The Life Academy just completed their "Consumer Math for Everyday Life" class where we learned the basics of managing money using a variety of math skills that we applied in our personal lives and in preparing for future careers. The focus was on applying math skills to real world situations. Topics included details on creating a monthly budget, jobs, wages, overtime hours and recreation/entertainment spending.  In addition, we examined checking/savings accounts, measurements, giving change, rounding money, tips and shopping online, and using coupons to save money.  It was an amazing experience, and we are grateful for our partnership with WCTC for providing a such a positive opportunity for Journey21.
